Happy Holidays! Hello and thank you for your support this past year. We really appreciated all of the feedback and suggestions you gave us for improving PreciousMetalsInvesting.com. It’s been a busy year. We started the Precious Metals Investing Podcast which is available on both Itunes and Google Play. Please listen – we hope you like it. I don’t know about you but sometimes I’m just so busy that audio works better. While you are there please subscribe.

Speaking about audio one of the Christmas presents I got was the . (It’s The Amazon Dot- just click on the image) It is a small Wi-Fi personal assistant called Alexa that connects you to the Amazon cloud and you can do some pretty amazing things. All you do is say “Alexa play me some Christmas Music, Alexa What’s the Weather, Alexa Flash Briefing (a condensed news program you make up of feeds from NPR, HBR, etc). It can also control smart home devices like lights and thermostats if you have them set up. You can also set up “skills” through things like IFTT (If This, Then That). So if you have ever lost your telephone under a pile of papers you can say “Alexa, find my phone and it will ring your cell hone. It has 7 far Field microphones so you can talk to it from across the room, blue tooth, and a 3.5 jack so you can connect it to an external stereo.
But perhaps one of the most useful and coolest things it can do is read Kindle books. David Morgan, the Silver Guru, (you knew I would get around to precious metals eventually) has just published a new book Alexa is reading it to me. I contacted David Morgan will interviewing him in about a week when I’ve finished the book. I feel it is a really important book. He makes some insightful points. His goal with this book is to give people strategies to use so they profit on the way up. But more importantly strategies so they don’t stay in until their winnings turn into losses.
We’re ringing in the New Year with a new look at PreciousMetalsInvesting.com. What do you think of the new website design. I think it is clearer and cleaner and makes navigating to the information you want quicker but you tell me. Do you like it? Do you have some suggestions for improvement?
Is there any precious metals expert you want me to interview in the coming year? Is there any information you would like to see on the site that is not there now?
We wish you and all of the people you care about a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
