Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market is in the news. We have seen some spectacular rises and falls in bitcoin price. What does this mean for the price of other cryptocurrencies like Etherium, Ripple and the hundreds of other cryptocurrencies? What does this mean for the gold price?

Bitcoin, which originally began with amateur bitcoin miners using this as a way to make money from home have been superseded by huge commercial bitcoin mining farms with buildings full of specialized computers.

Bitcoin has been catching quite a bit of bad press recently for bitcoin thefts, bitcoin fraud and the huge bitcoin energy consumption.
